An Update On Dean Maynard

The 25th Anniversary tour's Munkustrap is currently on tour around the UK in South Pacific. The show is currently at The Barbican in London but there's plenty of other dates on the show's official site and I know that one or two other theatres will have later dates up on their own 'What's On' pages as my local theatre isn't on the show site but does list the show as coming in March. Dean will be playing a seabee in the production which also stars Samantha Womack.

I have some new icons to share with you all, if you're interested then step this way!Collapse )

I didn't want to have to do this but after seeing some of the stage door pictures that I have uploaded for this fansite taken without permission and seeing myself and Liz edited off some pictures also without permission I have decided that it's for the best if I password protect these pictures.

I uploaded these pictures to share with people the lovely and varied characters off the Cats tour and encourage others to share their own experiences and although I understand that some members of the cast have now gained stronger followings after moves to the West End I still do not believe that that makes it acceptable for my pictures to be taken without permission.

I rarely, if at all, turn down a request to use my pictures and those of you who have approached me in the past I'm sure have found that I make little demand other than a short mention of either myself or preferably the site in association with the picture or pictures being used. I shall still allow people to request to use pictures and I shall still keep up the onstage, miscellaneous and headshots sections of the gallery however all the stage door folders will now be set to private.

Again I apologise and I did not want to have to do this but as these pictures are very special to me and serve as memories of some amazing times in the past few years of my life I would really rather they were not used without my knowledge and would certainly prefer for them not to be defiled/cropped without my permission.

Thank you to all of you who have previously asked my permission, I am extremely greatful for your consideration and I hope that this does not discourage others from asking if I have pictures of cast members which they would be able to use.

The current cast of Cats are making their way around Italy at the moment for the closing leg of the tour. The tour in the UK has officially been 'closed' however the cast have assured me that it won't be long til it tours again and have also hinted that a lot of familiar faces may crop up when it does!

In other news, John McManus is in The Buccaneer in London, Callum Nicol and Philip Comley are joining the company of the West End production of Grease, Gary Watson is soon to finish in Les Miz however Lorraine Graham is said to be joining as ensemble and Lorraine Chappell is leaving Gone With The Wind as it is closing early. I think I know some other details...but I've forgotten them. I'll let you know when I have news!

As for this community, I've given it a bit of a tidy up, sorted out the tags and tidied up the links section and put a cast list up in custom text for reference purposes I s'pose! hehe

Long Time Without Updates...

Sorry yet again with the extremely long pause between updates for this site, but to be fair to Liz and myself our GCSEs are getting scarily close now!

As far as updates are concerned we have one or two up for grabs.

First of all, in February it was the Anniversary of the cast change and those of you who know about this place through youtube you may have already seen that I made a video to celebrate the day:

Also, updates on cast members.
Lorraine Chappell (Bombalurina) who actually stayed on before has now left the tour and is rehearsing for Gone With The Wind in the West End.
Zoe Curlett (Jellylorum) has also recently left as has Philip Comley (Coricopat) however we have yet to get news on them.
Meanwhile, Zak Nemorin who has remained with the cast for its entire run has been moved from playing Munojerrie to playing Skimbleshanks. A bit of a leap but I can tell you from first hand experience he plays the roll excellently and at times he even brings in a few of the move eccentric qualities which John McManus brought to the role...although at other times he is a bit of a Mungoshanks! But I think that's just bringing his own unique style to the role and can highly recommend him for anyone going to see the show before its run ends in May. Of course...now I've said that he will have moved back to being Mungo but never mind eh! hehe

An update regarding someone who left last year, which should have been posted a while back but somehow never was: Christopher Howell (Bustopher/Asparagus) is in South Pacific...we're pretty sure he still is anyway. Not sure how much longer for though so if you want to see him you should probably get your skates on!

And finally for cast member updates, Kevin McGuire (Carbucketty) has finished in Footloose...quite some time ago now! And has joined a boyband. There aren't many details about it yet, but Kevin has asked me on more than one occasion to spread the word and he promises me I will be the first to know if anything big happens. The band is called ViCe. The site was previously up and running but has somewhat deteriorated since then and now just has a little teaser page thing, however for future reference the site is: www.viceofficialsite.com

Now, lastly I would like to inform you of a new myspace page for the cast at: www.myspace.com/catsanniversarycast
I myself am not entirely sure who it is run by...however they have asked if they can use my videos and some of my pictures and I wasn't going to say no so we're now sort of...inter linked with said site! Enjoy!

Dec. 1st, 2007

Check out the first unofficial shiny site for Dianne Pilkington!

And don't forget to join the forum!:)

Video!! (now edited)

Okaaaay, let's try this again with the video properly edited together!

A year with us at stage door (goes up until the cast change)...laughs, tears, randomness, it's all there! hehe Enjoy!

So I spent my Sunday night making icons using pic of the cast from the new colour brochure and maybe a couple have slipped in from the old one too. The pics from the new colour brochure have just been uploaded to the photobucket account along with some additions to the miscellaneous section with pictures of Dianne Pilkington pictures from Wicked and the Wicked cast change party, Dianne and J-C at the Wicked cast change, Kevin McGuire and the cast of Fame when Shilpa Shetty came to see the show and some larger headshots for John McManus, Lorraine Chappell and Nick Pound. All those new pictures can be found here: http://s100.photobucket.com/albums/m15/cats_uk_tour06/

Now, step this way for iconage!Collapse )
